PORTER MILE series is inspired by American tool bags and work aprons of the 1940s and 50s.
The material used is nylon cotton twill which has both military atmosphere and light weight. The nylon cotton twill outer fabric has a unique sheen due to the weave of the nylon threads on the surface.
The outer and inner fabrics separate when washed after sewing and the differece in shrinkage between the outer and inner fabrics results in beautiful rippling, wrinkling and puckering due to the use of water-soluble bonding process. In particular, the puckering on the front of the triple-stitched bag is a design feature reminiscent of vintage workwear.
